With an ACC designation of R344, the Rabbit Maranville-endorsed "How To" booklets are 3" x 3 3/4" two-page pamphlets, each of which contains illustrations and tips on how to perform a different baseball task. The illustrative booklets were included in the high number packs of "Batter Up" baseball cards in 1936. Really the last baseball-related items released by National Chicle before the company was purchased by Goudey in 1937, these illustrations made a cameo on the backs of Goudey's R303 premiums several years later. Presented here is a grouping of 18 of the 20 booklets in the set. All are in F-G condition with some creasing and overall wear, with the exception of #10, which is torn in half and is really here as a space filler. Missing just #19 (How to Umpire Bases) and #20 (How to Lay Out a Ball Field) for completion, a difficult and unusual series. 18 booklets total.
