Lot Description  

Interesting pair of Paul Thompson original news service photographs from Opening Day at Hilltop Park in 1910. Pair features images of two different Boston Red Sox players with rabbid fans in close proximity. Includes: 1) 7" x 9" photo of backup catcher, Bunny Madden. 2) Approx. 4.5" x 6.5" photo of first baseman Jake Stahl. Both photos bear Paul Thompson credit stamping on verso with handwritten notations of each player appearing in pencil. Stahl's photo includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA declaring it as a Type 1 photo, and we guarantee Bunny Madden's example in this pair will pass Type 1 authentication were it to be submitted.
