Stubby Overmire is one great nickname, whether its for a member of The Little Rascals or the New York Yankees is an open question.  A lefty who broke in with the Tigers in 1943, he earned a ring in the 1945 World Series with them, went to the Browns on waivers for the 1950 season, was traded for Tommy Byrne in 1951 and got another ring with the Yankees before he was waived again and picked up by the Browns, where he went down to the minors and was never seen again on a major league roster. There's some corner rounding on this 1952 Topps card but look at that Yankee Stadium backdrop! The signature is in blue and is a really nice one, his nickname shortened to Stub in a PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC holder. Overmire died young, in 1977 at just 57 years old.  One of just 11 signed examples of his 1952 Topps cards in PSA's census.
