Fantastic 5" x 7" original news service photo featuring Red Sox future Hall of Fame centerfielder, Tris Speaker. Speaker is depicted early in his career and his road uniform style leads us to believe the image likely hails from 1912. Worthy of note is that verso displays both Harris & Ewing and Paul Thompson credit stamps as Paul Thompson's service apparently acquired the image directly from H&E. Photo has survived more than a century of storage without any noteworthy imperfections to the image or reverse, though the affixed paper tag has some folded and missing corners. A 1996 Baseball Magazine hologram appears in the lower-right corner, indicating this photo originates from the initial public sale of their photographic archive. Authenticated and Encapsulated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
