So good they named the major's top pitching award after him, Cy Young was at the tail end of his Hall Of Fame career when American Caramel caught him with the Boston Americans in what is the candy card equivalent of T206, namely the widely issued and immensely popular E90-1 set. E90-1 is one of a batch of interrelated caramel card issues encompassing over a half a dozen sets that used a pool of common images, but this is the only pose of Young with Boston in that grouping. He's depicted as a member of the Cleveland Americans in all of the sister issues, having been dealt to them before the start of the 1909 season, making this a doubly desirable pose.
A rich, red background dominates this SGC 3 example, which exhibits some corner rounding and a slight tilt cut often seen on this issue. The back is a nice one, clean, well-rendered and the look is quite nice overall.
