One of the most difficult of all the 1952 Topps cards to obtain signed, Bob Swift passed away in 1966 at the extremely young age of 51. Swift is the catcher pictured in one of the most famous baseball photos ever - the one where Eddie Gaedel is at the plate, drawing his walk in the 1951 doubleheader in Sportsman's Park. Swift applied his signature in blue ballpoint above the name plate, the signature authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA, one of just five so assessed.
