Outstanding sterling silver commemorative plate, from the July 27, 1957 Old Timer's game at Yankee Stadium, presented to Jim Turner. Turner was a pitcher with a nine-year career, the last four of which were spent with the Yankees. Turner finished his career with a 69-60 record and a 3.22 lifetime ERA. The plate measures 11" in diameter, with the Yankees logo at the top center of the plate. Engraved into the base of the plate is the following:
"Yankees-Detroit Old Timers
Honoring New Hall of Fame Members
Joseph V. McCarthy Samuel E. Crawford

Beautiful condition with a few areas of rare, one of only two of these plates we have encountered from this game.
