Extraordinary Bell & Palfrey original panoramic photograph of the 1909 St. Louis Browns in their cold weather gear. Hall of Famer Rube Waddell confidently stands second from the right, towering above his teammates and fellow Hall of Famer Bobby Wallace is pictured fifth from the right. This photo emanates directly from the estate of Browns hurler Barney Pelty (positioned eighth from the right) where it has remained for more than 100 years. Identifications of each player appear beneath their likeness with "St. Louis Browns - 1909" written in the center along bottom edge. The photo has been professionally flattened by our conservator as it had become tightly rolled after decades of storage. A repair to reattach a sizable portion of the lower-left corner has also been performed, which is evident on both front and reverse. Small pieces of the upper-right corner and top edge towards the left side are missing and light creasing is evident along the very bottom. Otherwise, image quality remains exceptionally sharp with with rich detailing throughout. Overall dimensions of 8" x 36.5".
