The last baseball card set issued by Topps in multiple series until the modern era, longtime collectors often consider 1973 the final year of what they describe as "vintage."  Reducing the size of their set from a whopping 787 cards in 1972 to a more manageable 660 cards in 1973, in the process packing in far more quality in terms of player selection.

Presented here is an attractive midgrade set, the technical grade described as follows:  3% EX/MT, 22% EX, 47% VG/EX, 24% VG, and 3% GOOD.  The primary condition flaw is, as one would expect, centering, with corner wear coming in a close second as the set does exhibit signs of handling.  On balance, the cards are largely clean and crease free, a true collector's set.  A breakdown of the set's key cards is as follows:  #50 Clemente (VG/EX), #90 Robinson (VG), #100 Aaron (VG/EX), #130 Rose (VG), #142 Munson (VG), #150 Palmer (VG/EX), #170 Killebrew (EX), #174 Gossage (EX), #190 Gibson (EX), #193 Fisk (VG/EX), #220 Ryan (G), #245 Yastrzemski (G), #255 Jackson (VG), #280 Kaline (VG), #300 Carlton (VG), #305 Mays (G), #320 Brock (EX), #330 Carew (VG), #350 Seaver (VG), #380 Bench (G), and 615 Schmidt (VG/EX).  660 cards total.
