Outstanding pieces of hobby history, and a testament to the importance of proper cataloguing and resources to share and compile information about various card sets (a current pet peeve of ours, in this Standard Catalog-less era).  Collection includes two editions of the American Card Catalog from two different decades.  Includes the following: 1) 1946 American Card Catalog: well-read publication by author Jefferson Burdick, cataloging a variety of sports and non-sports sets and assigning values to each (T206s for $0.04 each, with Plank valued at $10 and Wagner at $25!).  The back pages contain advertisements from collecting pioneers, including many we still revere today, like Charles Bray, Wirt Gammon, Dr. Lawrence Kurzrok, and Lionel Carter.  FAIR condition due to the spine having been repaired with masking tape, otherwise strong.  2) 1956 American Card Catalog (reprint of 1953 edition): expanded listings in this thicker publication (T206s grew in value to $0.05 each, though Wagner's value has increased to $50).  Pencil notations and checks inside and on the cover, some wear and paper loss on the back cover and spine.  Two catalogs total.
