Exceptional fully-executed 1966 contract between the Baltimore Orioles and pitcher Don Larsen for the 1966 season. Larsen's contract called for a salary of $18,000. Though the contract was executed on February 4, 1966, Larsen was released in April, and he wound up pitching the 1966 season with the Phoenix Giants of the Pacific Coast League.
The contract is fully executed, but Larsen along with Orioles Player Personnel Director Harry I. Dalton, and league president Joe Cronin (HOF). Though the typewriting is a bit blurry on the contract, all three signatures are clear and legible, Cronin's in particular a bold, flowing full name. Larsen, of course, is best known for his 1956 World Series perfect game with the Yankees, but had a respectable career otherwise, winning 81 games as a starter and a reliever over 14 major league seasons.
