1958 saw the final season of the five year deal Ted Williams inked with Topps and they made the last card they would issue of him as a player #1 in the set.  PSA has graded the card itself as VG 3 due to rounded corners and a L-R centering issue. The lemony background still radiates and Teddy Ballgame still glowers like nobody's business.  The reverse is clean and shows just how badly Williams destroyed American League pitching in 1957, which his saw his .388 average lead the Junior Circuit by a wide margin at the age of 38.

Did you know that other than his rookie season (where, incidentally he led the league with 145 RBI's) and a war-shortened 1952, Williams never missed being named to the AL All Star squad!  His statistics on Baseball Reference show a tsunami of black ink, making clear his dominance of the sport. PSA/DNA has certified the autograph and it's an eye-opener, thick and bold, emphatically and precisely signed in black Sharpie.
