Scoop was an expansive illustrated issue from Topps in 1954.  The gimmick was twofold: a scratch off feature on the front that obscured the image and exhorted the buyer to "See it Now" (mimicking an early Walter Cronkite TV series of the same name that was on the air when the set was released) and an ersatz newspaper feature in the back with the "scoop" that described the action on the front of the card, which was mostly set in the distant past. Bob Feller was one of four baseball subjects included by Topps.

While the black bars obscure the image, not many are found with them intact as most are partially wholly scratched off. This PSA 4 has one of the better intact sets of bars we've seen and has graphics not seen on all cards (it's thought single cards from one cent packs and the top card in a five cent pack featured the graphics). The reverse features a nice black and white photo of Feller (most of the subjects have an illustration) with a couple of small dots of foxing seen at lower right. One of the more obscure Feller cards issued by Topps and a downright oddity at that.
