Lot Description  

Striking 8" x 10" original photograph of Hall of Fame outfielder, Orestes "Minnie" Minoso in uniform for the Marianao club of the Cuban Winter League. Minoso broke the Chicago White Sox color barrier in his rookie season of 1951 and became one of the most popular players in franchise history due to his flamboyant nature, natural power, and hustle. More than 50 years after his eligibility, Minoso was elected by the Hall's Golden Era Committee for induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022. Borderless photo displays exceptionally well with gentle wear to the corners and a bright white verso that displays two handwritten identifiers of Minoso towards the top edge. Authenticated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
