A middling third baseman during the Jazz Age, Chuck Dressen debuted as a 30 year old rookie with Cincinnati in 1925 and when his playing days were over, came back to manage them in 1934. Best known for managing the "Boys of Summer" Brooklyn Dodgers from 1951-1953, he spent sixteen seasons as a major league skipper for five clubs. He passed away in 1966 and is a difficult autograph. JSA/SGC has given an Authentic grade to his signature here, which is a beauty in blue ballpoint, against a smiling portrait and bonus Ebbets Field backdrop. Centering to the left and corner rounding are seen with a nice image remaining.
