Stan Rojek broke in with the Dodgers as a shortstop in the Forties, but a certain fellow named Pee Wee Reese had him blocked for good. His contract was sold to the Pirates for 1948 and he responded with a banger of a year. Beaned early in the 1949 season he was never the same and he played his last game in the majors for the Browns in 1952 before going back to Brooklyn's minor league system. Topps did him a colorful turn in 1952, with some well loved corners and tilty centering to the right. Compactly signed in blue ballpoint, the PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC autograph is a bold one.
