Bill Wight gave up Mickey Mantle's first hit but was better know for going 0-61 at the plate in 1950, still the American League record for futility. Primarily a starter, he also had the ignominy of losing 20 games for the 1948 White Sox. Despite the centering issue, the overall appearance of this 1952 Topps card is fresh and bright. Wight's signed it in Sharpie, authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
