He may look cross-eyed here but as a child Clyde King was attacked by a neighbor's dog and bitten severely around his right eye. That eye remained weak and the left eye is the one that did the bulk of the work. Amazingly, he ended up a big league hurler, with seven seasons seen across nine years. He had three managing stints as well, concluding with the Yankees in 1982, in one of George Steinbrenner's more chaotic years. His 1952 Topps card on display here is off centered a bit to the upper right, with some smallish corner dings. The really nice blue Sharpie signature is PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC.
