Marlin Stuart was a 30 year old rookie with Detroit in 1956, his major league career delayed by three years in the military. The corners of his 1952 Topps card have rounded a little but the overall look is solid. The autograph is a little hurried, compact in black ink with an AUTHENTIC grade from PSA/DNA. Stuart suffered a debilitating stroke in 1975 and had to be cared for by his wife thereafter. As a result, signed examples of his 1952 Topps card are quite difficult - PSA/DNA has authenticated just 11 (this one has been authenticated twice and the original has not yet been removed from the pop report).
