Would Warren Spahn have won 400 games if not for World War II? It's a valid question and with 37 more wins needed over three seasons lost to combat, one that is a great "what-if?" for sure. He did fight though, was wounded several ties in front line action and was the most decorated major leaguer in the war. His 363 wins remain the career standard for a southpaw. The 1952 Topps card seen here has come through the years in fine shape, with just a slight centering bias toward the top. Spahn's signature is deemed a PSA/DNA MINT 9.
