Ed Blake was the perfect Topps signee for 1952.  With a 11.25 ERA over three games with the Reds in 1951, he returned for a sophomore season that saw him pitch in a mere two contests, without allowing a run.  He then went the other way in '53 and pitched to an infinite ERA in one game.  And that was it for him in the bigs, until a two game "comeback" with the Athletics in 1957. For his career he had a won-loss record of 0-0 and WAR of 0.0. He's also one of the rare players of his day to be seen wearing glasses as he is here on his 1952 Topps number. The ungraded card has a pair of creases running vertically down from the top border and the centering is pointed to the bottom left, with nice blue color retained.  His blue Sharpie signature is rendered in an elegant style and has gained a PSA/DNA GEM MINT 10 grade accordingly.
