Smoky Burgess, no matter what anyone might say about him, sure wore the tools of ignorance with pride. His 1952 Topps card has one of the more dramatic and well-composed images in the high numbers and has been a collector favorite over the years. He's signed this card in thin, black felt tip, lightly faded while the card remains bright and colorful. Burgess was the starting catcher for the 1960 Pirates team that snatched the World Series title from the Yankees that year. One of just 10 signed examples in the PSA/DNA pop report.
