The 200 black-and-white images appearing in the H801-8 set are also found in three other sets from 1917, each with bespoke advertising. The cards were intended for this purpose and printed "on spec", with the Boston Store, a prominent Chicago concern, availed themselves accordingly. The five cards seen here are all trimmed and cut down, yet the cards are quite scarce.
Included in this lot of five Senators players are Earl Yingling, Ray Morgan, John Henry, Howard Shanks and Bert Gallia. A couple have creases and all show some light foxing. Five cards total.
