George Davis broke in with the Cleveland Spiders in 1890 and played 20 years in the majors, primarily as a shortstop. He earned a ring with the 1906 White Sox and finished his career with them in 1909. It took him almost 80 years thereafter but he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1998. He's seen here in a gorgeous EX/MT example of his T206 card, with a dramatic sky behind him and gobs of color showing. Nicely centered, with corners that have stayed true, just a hint of surface wear in the upper left sky is evident. The reverse is a Piedmont 150 Factory 25, with some old, light product contact near the bottom. The card would not look out of place in a higher holder.
