Wild Bill Donovan lived up to his nickname on and off the baseball diamond and was a fine pitcher for many years in the majors, primarily with Brooklyn and Detroit. He's captured on a E92 Dockman & Sons card here, encased in a PSA 3 holder. Centered off to the lower right, some rounded corners are on display, as are fiery reds and oranges. The image is a strong one for sure and the back has similar centering. Donovan was killed in the wreck of the Twentieth Century Limited in December 1923 and is sometimes described as the most famous person to ever die in a U.S. train wreck.
