Donie Bush was a sure-handed, slick fielding shortstop in the dead ball era and his 425 putouts in 1914 have never been topped to this day. Not quite a good field-no hit player (more like great field-some hit), he made the most of his skills and was a consummate leadoff man for many years in Detroit. The 1915 PSA 1 Cracker Jack seen here was fished out of a tasty box of the sweet snack based upon the evidence showing on both sides of the card, a typical result given the packaging. The red background and player image from this classic set still delight.
