Eddie Collins peers out from the past on this W519 strip card, from the popular unnumbered series. With renderings in this ten subject subset being far nicer than most of the strip card issues of the time, you can practically count the stitches on his White Sox sweater the detail is so fine. Featuring the imperfect "S" at the end of his name, a print anomaly that is known for this card in varying degrees, the overall appearance of this card is about a nice as you will ever see, with a wonderfully detailed front and clean reverse. Collins was a beast, one of the top Second Baseman of all time and a key member of several World Series winning teams and this card would look great in any Hall of Fame or Pre-War collection. The vast majority of these cards (over 90 percent) grade as Authentic, as with the example here.
