Beautiful 1973 Minnesota Twins road jersey as worn by utilityman Dan Monzon in the second of his two-year career. Monzon batted .244 lifetime in 131 career at bats and continued to play minor league ball through 1977, when he became a manager in the Mets organization. He then became a scout, eventually named supervisor of Latin American scouting by the Red Sox before he passed away in an automobile accident at the young age of 49.
The jersey is a 1973 Twins pullover jersey from 1973, with its tags removed. Full LOA from MEARS with three points removed due to fading and the removal of tagging from inside the shirt, for a grade of A7.
Please note the erroneous photo and title in our printed catalog; the photo in this listing is the correct one, and this is not a flannel jersey..
