A tough card in a set known for them, E90-1's are also infamous for the lack of high grade cards. Mike Mitchell seems to be a permanent fixture on many collector's want lists, stymying completion of a full set.  Though the E90-1 American Caramel issue was distributed between 1909 and 1911, the bulk of the set was distributed in the first year.  This led to varying degrees of scarcity throughout the set.  The card of Mike Mitchell has long been considered the set's key rarity, occasionally referred to as the "T206 Wagner of caramel cards."  The advent of the internet has improved communication among collectors, who have discovered that perhaps the card's mythical status was a bit exaggerated, but it is still among the most difficult cards in the set.  This SGC 2 is typical for the issue, with an interesting cut and signs of some handling back in the day. The top left corner crease does not affect the central image of Mitchell and the color blend is quite pleasing.  A small bit of paper loss can be seen on the reverse, which looks strong otherwise.
