Rare 19234 pinback featuring Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson.  Well-known image at the center pictures the Big Train with his slingshot followthrough, set inside a stylized baseball.  Text around the image reads "Pennant Winners • Washington 1924 B.B. Club."  Extremely difficult to find, it is theorized that the pin may have been given away or sold at Griffith Stadium during the 1924 World Series.  The original pin - including this example - was attached to red, white and blue ribbons that also identified the Senators as 1924 pennant winners.  This example, measuring 1 3/4" in diameter, exhibits foxing around the edge on the right side of the pin.  Oxidation is visible on the reverse, which also contains remnants of the ribbons that were once attached.  An extremely rare pin, originating from the collection of Ted Patterson.  F-G condition.
