The 1921 National Caramel set featured 120 cards of 115 different players, and was issued over a two-year span to eager kids across a large swath of America. There's a nice roster of Hall-of-Famers and this particular example features a posed action shot of the great Tris Speaker. The front and back are exceptionally bright and show no signs of aging after more than a century. Centering is skewed to the upper right but plenty of border is seen all around. E220's do not come up for sale or auction on any kind of consistent basis and are often encountered in various states of distress. PSA has graded 11 Speaker's total, with none higher than this example, which has a sole counterpart in the grade. This is a superb example of a tough card of a top-tier Hall-of-Famer.
