In 1921 Oxford Confectionery of Oxford, Pennsylvania, eschewed using the pool of images often licensed for 1920's caramel issues and commissioned their own photos for this 20 card set, which is chock-a-block with Hall-of-Famers, 14 to be exact. The cards are more like thin paper than cardboard and a scant 26 examples of Speaker have been graded by PSA. Some typical age related foxing and light creasing can be seen on the 101 year old specimen, graded PSA 4, while the extreme closeup of Speaker is happily unaffected, with superb composition highlighting the unique image. Not often offered, Oxford Confectionery cards are a key on-ramp to a player or Hall-of-Fame registry set.
