Colorful official scorecard and program that appears to originate from a June 26, 1910 game between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. A 3-2 Cubs victory, Chicago catcher Johnny Kling drove in two runs and third baseman Harry Steinfeldt had three hits, scoring two in the effort. Roger Bresnahan went 2-for-2 for the visiting club. The 40-page program and additional centerfold scorecard is entirely intact and appears strong, a long-ago fold down the center subsequently flattened, as were some diagonal creases at the upper-right corner of the cover. The interior pages exhibit toning but are otherwise EX, the scorecard page does show significant edge wear since it is not attached to the program and thus the edge has peeked out from the pages for more than 110 years. Programs of this vintage are tough to find; examples this clean and attractive and featuring Hall of Famers on the cover (in this case, Frank Chance) are particularly desirable.
