Beautiful Stall & Dean woolen jersey worn by Ervin P. "Chet" Cronk of Watertown, NY, a pitcher in 1931 and 1932, during which time he wore the jersey. The four-button jersey has three-quarter sleeves, the words "House Of David" Stitched onto the jersey front, the number "2" on the reverse. The jersey is in outstanding condition with no repairs or replaced buttons, though the size tag has been removed from the neck, and several stains are evident on both the front and back. Or consignor obtained the jersey in an online auction run by the House Of David Historeum and Preservation Society, and comes with a handwritten letter from the director of the museum, as a copy of a handwritten note from the original owner of the jersey. An extraordinary historically significant jersey, from a unique team.
