The Detroit Tigers returned to the World Series in 1935 after their 7-game defeat to St. Louis after the 1934 Series, defeating the Chicago Cubs in six games.  The opening set, played at Navin Field in Detroit, was a 3-0 Cubs victory, with Lon Warneke scattering four hits in a complete game shutout.  Stub appears in FAIR condition, though eye appeal is very strong.
