As is the case with most strip cards that were separated from their counterparts during the time of issue, this example of Babe Ruth's W514 card is graded "AUTHENTIC" by PSA as the cut falls within the printed borders on the strip. Youngsters in 1919 were unaware of what PSA'S grading standards would be 80 years into the future and thus were more concerned with simply owning the card rather than what numerical grade future investors would desire. In this case, Ruth's image is reasonably well-centered on the card despite the irregularly-cut right edge. Some mild surface wear is also evident. One of Babe Ruth's more desirable strip cards.
