Published in 1950 this book is a collection of illustrations from sports cartoonist Gene Mack highlighting baseball's great ballparks and the historic events that occurred there. In apparent VG/EX condition the 32-page 11 x 6 3/4" comic-style book is saddle-stitched at the shorter edge with some general age-related wear and toning including two small pinholes on the upper and lower-left corners of the piece near the binding none of which impacts the piece's display value. The page devoted to Sportsman's Park has been signed in blue Sharpie by Stan Musial (HOF). A beautiful and educational piece only made more significant by the signature of one of the game's greats.
