The 1932 National League season was dominated by the Chicago Cubs who won 90 games against just 64 losses finishing four games ahead of the Pirates to capture the pennant. Led by Hall of Fame catcher Gabby Hartnett second baseman Billy Herman and outfielder Kiki Cuyler the team moved on to play the 107-47 Yankees in the World Series where they were swept in the series that included the infamous "Called Shot." Presented is a season pass as issued to a Mr. George Robertson admitting him to all National League grounds for the 1932 season. Numbered 187 the paper pass itself carries the facsimile signature of league President John Heydler and remains securely tucked into its leather wallet issued compliments of the league. The wallet itself is worn but completely intact the leather exhibiting the type of wear one would expect from being handled frequently but cared for well broken in but by no means fragile. The pass itself well-secured in its container appears to be in excellent condition though it is secure so tightly underneath its clear plastic shield that we did not attempt to remove it for a close inspection of all edges and corners. League passes are highly desirable among contemporary ticket collectors and passes in their original wallets are difficult to come by. This is a strong example of a beautiful pre-war pass entitling the bearer to be a spectator to one of the game's most memorable seasons.
