It was the earth-shattering five figure sale of a Mia Hamm rookie card in GEM MINT condition that unearthed the large collection of cards from the issue that appear in this auction.  The card of Mia Hamm sits at the bottom center of the sheet, making it sensitive to the folding and rolling that tends to happen with magazines.  Such is the case with this example, a wonderfully sharp and clean card that fell victim to the magazine being gently folded down the middle.  The result is not a crease, but simply a waviness to the paper that has reduced its technical grade.  While centering would certainly have prevented the card from receiving a MINT grade, the waviness is the only real condition flaw unrelated to handling.
