The Boston American series of postcards were issued by the daily newspaper of the same name, to celebrate the World Champion Red Sox of that season.  The cards, which were issued in two sets, feature only Red Sox players.  This card is the key to the set, that of Hall of Famer Tris Speaker.  Graded VG 3 by PSA, the card exhibits moderate wear consistent with the grade, notably a small crease at the upper-right corner, chipping at the corners and edges, and a slight bit of cracking to the gloss, visible under bright light but not interfering with the eye appeal of the card.  The card is postally unused, the reverse clean.
