Intruiging cabinet photo of an early ballgame being played on an improvised diamond. Basepaths, or any defining features of a well-used ballfield for that matter, are curiously absent. Despite the lack of those telltale signs of organized games, the large crowd that's gathered doesn't seem to mind one bit - a testament to the popularity of the game during this era. Photo is in superb condition though the image has faded to an illusory sepia tone. Mounted photo measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" overall.
