Spectacular matted and framed sketch of Hall of Famer Benny Friedman matted in blue and framed in gold with a 1955 Topps All-American card. The sketch of Friedman has been signed by the Hall of Fame quarterback. Considered the first great passer in pro football Friedman was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. He is also known as one of the most difficult and rare football signatures to obtain with even cut signatures selling into the hundreds and signed flats approaching the four-figure range. Signed in pencil directly on the sketch certainly a one of a kind item. It should be noted that while it is difficult to see in the photo there is a tear at the bottom of the piece near Friedman's foot. While the tear does not interfere with Friedman's signature it does get fairly close to it and is more noticeable when viewing the actual piece than it is when viewing the photo of it in this auction listing.
