Born in Havana Cuba, Rafael Almeida was a third baseman and teammate of Armando Marsans, together often inaccurately considered the first Cuban-born major leaguers. Before joining the Reds, however, Almeida (and Marsans) played "Negro League baseball" as members of the integrated All Cubans team in 1905. Graded GD 2 due to overall wear, including a small spot of paper loss on Almeida's face.
