In recent years, Babe Ruth cards have exploded in value, to the point where the concept of an "affordable" Ruth from the Goudey issues is becoming a foreign concept in any condition.  This example, the attractive #181 "Green Ruth," may be the closest a collector might come.  Graded AUTHENTIC by SGC, the card is extremely well-worn, with heavy creasing, corner and edge wear throughout.  The reverse is heavily toned and soiled, with some minor staining and small pencil writing in the upper-left.  The image of Ruth is still bold and visible against all the wear, a perfect solution to a hobbyist searching for a Goudey Ruth and content with a well-loved example.
