As the growth of the hobby has continued to set pricing records across the board, the 1951 Bowman rookie card of Mickey Mantle has begun to take its rightful place as one of the key postwar baseball cards. This is an extremely attractive collector-grade example, well-centered and strong, graded GOOD 2 by PSA , due primarily to a light stain along the top edge that appears to have been residue from clear tape or adhesive. Some light wrinkling is evident on the card reverse, along the right edge, very lightly visible under magnification on the front, likely a flaw in the paper that was present at printing. A very tiny speck of paper loss is visible in the blue sky above the "E" in "Mantle," perhaps the size of a pin prick, visible only under close examination. One of the finer collector-grade examples of a Mantle rookie that you are likely to encounter.
