Beautiful vintage Tim McAuliffe/KM Pro brand cap worn in 1963 by Orioles rightfielder Al Smith in the final productive season of his excellent career. The black cap sports an orange "B" logo and squatchee Smith's uniform number 16 handwritten in marker inside the brim. The cap exhibits signs of heavy use including tearing of the headband at the brim and a looose headband in general. Despite the wear a very attractive early Orioles cap from the collection of Ted Patterson. LOA from MEARS.
