Outstanding baseball bearing the unmistakeable signature of Babe Ruth on the sweet spot. The signature has been applied in dark fountain pen and remains clear and legible an outstanding display. The McKinnon brand League Special baseball carries the signatures of 11 other subjects most associated with the 1935 Philadelphia Phillies or their Hazleton farm club leading us to believe the ball was signed during spring training or during some exhihbition event attended by Ruth in 1935 then in the final season of his career with the Boston Braves. The ball exhibits moderate but even toning most of the signatures clear and legible. Some surface abrasions on the north panel do interfere with a few of the signatures but the one that is most important - the signature of Ruth - is clear and vivid unobstructed and undamaged. PSA/DNA has graded the baseball EX 5 the signatures NM 7 for an overall grade of 6 but it is the signature of Ruth that provides the star power. The ball is offered in a handsome display that also includes a Babe Ruth artball exquisitely hand-painted by artist Gary Guerra. The baseball includes two Ruth images (one portrait one action) along with career stats and a quote from Ruth. The two make an outstanding display. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
