Attractive Yankee Stadium ticket stub from the deciding game of the 1996 World Series against the Atlanta Braves. The 1996 Series saw the Yankees dropping the first two games at home only to roar back with three consecutive victories in Atlanta setting up the deciding Game 6 which pitted the criminally underrated Jimmy Key against Hall of Famer Greg Maddux in a tremendous pitching matchup. The Yankees would score three runs in the third inning on a dramatic run-scoring triple by catcher Joe Girardi a run-scoring single by rookie shortstop Derek Jeter followed by a stolen base and a single to center by Bernie Williams. The Braves would get close scoring one in the 4th inning and another in the top of the 9th off close John Wetteland. With two outs and Rafael Belliard in scoring position Wetteland got Mark Lemke to pop out to Charlie Hayes in foul territory down the third base line cementing the Yankees' first Championship since 1978. The stub presents well with light corner and edge wear the AUTHENTIC grade simply assigned to assure authenticity and not to imply any sort of alteration.
