Attractive cabinet card from the highly desirable N173 Old Judge set picturing the Hall of Fame first baseman in his "Bat at ready" pose. Brouthers stands in full uniform set against the studio backdrop of a ballfield his name and copyright etched into the photo itself. The image is clear with excellent contrast a few stray markings and areas of very light foxing are evident in the photo itself with some light wear elsewhere. The mount remains in strong condition the printing bold and dark. One of just two examples of a Brouthers pose to have been graded by PSA this is the highest-graded example assessed by that company and one of the highest-graded in general as just three SGC VG 3 specimens and one astronomical SGC NM 7 exist on that company's population report. In terms of image quality and contrast we feel confident that this is one of the finer graded examples a very desirable cabinet from a widely sought-after issue.
