Though the #53 and #149 Ruth borrow the image of Ruth from the same source photo the #144 card of Babe Ruth is the only one of his four 1933 Goudey cards to portray Ruth from head to toe at the end of his legendary swing. The popular image is derived from a photo by Charles Conlon one of the most famous and of all Ruth's known photos the pose of the Great Bambino instantly recognizable. The card appears reasonably well-centered clean and without the registration issues commonly found with this card. Corners are square the card handled but remaining in outstanding condition.
